Eagles Take Down Green Forest
The Pierce City Eagles football traveled an hour and a half through winding roads to a school double their size last Friday night. The Green Forest Tigers are a class 3 Arkansas team, but a class 2 Missouri team. Football in Arkansas is a little bit different as neither teams are allowed to chop block, which means you can not be a lineman and hit the other team in the legs.
The Eagles started off the game right forcing a 3 and out but only to turn it over on the next drive. Later, Sagehorn scored from the 6 yard line. Also scoring in the game was Dallas Kleiboeker on a pass caught in the end zone from Gage Brown.
The Eagles almost had a shutout but the Tigers scored late in the fourth quarter. The Eagles have given up only 23 in the past 4 weeks with 2 shutouts. They gave up 16 points to Liberal. The Eagles will travel to Miller to play the cardinals on their homecoming night.
