Pierce City Schools

The Pierce City Boys finished the Walnut Grove Holiday Classic in 3rd place. The loss coming in the 3rd round against Walnut Grove who finished 2nd. In the 1st round Pierce City faced off against Hurley as they came out with a slow start, but scored 37 points in the 4th quarter as the final score was 84-59. Their next match-up was against Liberal. The final score was 65-59 as they came back from an 18 point deficit. The Walnut Grove game Pierce City lost 61-52 as it was a battle until the end. Then, for the 3rd place game they played a Verona team that had beaten them in a previous match-up. Pierce City came out with a different attitude and won the game 58-42. Hunter Tindell earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
